According to the makeup artist Mally Roncal, the shape of your face should determine how you do your makeup.
"Makeup is not one size fits all," Mally says. "For everybody, you have a different place to put things — especially blush and brows."
Do you have a round face, heart-shaped face or oval face? Here's how to tell.
Here are Mally's tips for softening angles & highlighting cheekbones on heart-shaped faces, which are wider at the top with a defined chin that's a little bit more pointy.

HOW TO APPLY BLUSH FOR HEART-SHAPED FACES
"At the end of the day, you want to put it in the right place to really accentuate the cheekbones. You really want to make them stand out," Mally says.
Apply your blush not on the apples of your cheeks, but lower than the apples and just to the side, the makeup expert says. You want to move your brush in a semi-circle or C shape towards the hairline. You're basically outlining the heart. "That's going to really soften the shape so it's not too angular and make those cheekbones stand out like nobody's business!"
Pro Tip: Smile while you apply your blush so you can see where the apples of your cheeks are.

HOW TO STYLE EYEBROWS FOR HEART-SHAPED FACES
For your brows, since heart shaped-faces are often more angular, you want to make your brows softer and more rounded to contrast the angles.
Start by brushing the brows up to see what you're starting with. Our viewer, MC, has a tiny bit of an arch, so using short, feathery strokes, Mally filled in her brows to elongate them and make the tail a little bit longer. "That's going to widen out everything and give her a beautiful, soft arch," Mally says.
