The video comes shortly after Quezz accosted Gucci Mane for allegedly stiffing Scarr’s family over the funeral costs.

“You say to them you finna pay for the funeral, then you lie,” he claimed in a recent Instagram Live. “You didn’t have to lie! You ain’t have to go ghost either, cuh. It was gonna get paid for either way. You could’ve just said you ain’t have the money. You don’t get no type of respect for that, cuh.”

He added: “The minute that them folks called yo phone to see if you gon’ pay for the funeral, you blocked them. That’s not real, cuh. You ain’t straight. You only trying to act all real. You posted Scarr talking ’bout some long live — bruh, you ain’t do nothing, cuh.”

However, Gucci’s wife Keyshia Ka’Oir came to her husband’s defense on Monday (January 9) and took to her Instagram Story to share two receipts from N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home totaling $20,000. Ka’Oir wrote that everyone should just “leave her husband alone,” and that the payment was made directly to the funeral home. “20k total @laflare1017 what u did to these folks man,” she wrote before adding in a separate post: “We also sent flowers & not even a thank u” along with a breaking heart emoji.

However, Big Scarr’s sister Alexandra Woods, who had initially joined in on reprimanding Gucci for his alleged lack of involvement in her brother’s funeral, replied to Ka’Oir and said that the money barely paid for anything.

“That 10K ain’t help with nothing but obituaries and flowers, boo,” Woods said on Instagram Live. “My brother worth more than 10K.”

“Yea, Gucci sent $10,000,” she added. “And somebody else on another team. So, it was $20,000 in all. And we ain’t get the flowers. I don’t give a fuck what nobody say…Anyway, the funeral getting paid for regardless. That little-ass money. That’s why we said he didn’t help…That wasn’t enough. My brother funeral was 60K in all.”

The late rapper’s father, however, showed nothing but appreciation for Gucci’s donation, as well as everything he did for his son during his rap career.

“First of all, I got to send shouts out to Atlantic Records, man. They gave my son a big boy chance. Gucci – I got to send shouts out to Gucci too. Y’all might not like it but I got to give my boy what he did, man,” Scarr’s father began. “He gave my son a major major chance man. I can’t let y’all throw dude under the bus like that. Come on now, the truth is the truth, man. I gave nobody permission to do that.

He continued: “I ain’t looking for nothing, I just want what rightfully belong to my son. I ain’t asking for nothing else. I don’t want nothing else. They sent they 10 bands. Gucci, he sent his 10 bands. I covered the rest. I appreciate that big time. Certain things was said that shouldn’t have been said. It was wrong. Man to man, I wish somebody woulda just dialed my [number] and talked to your guy 100. All this out of control.

“Gucci and them was the best thing that ever happened to my son. Nobody deserves this here. Shouts out to everybody who sent flowers. Gucci sent flowers. He did what he could. He ain’t have to do none of that. I just wish I was the one being talked to so we could have that understood.”

Big Scarr (real name Alexander Woods) was at his girlfriend’s home in his native Memphis when he died after ingesting a lethal amount of prescription pills. It’s unclear what medication was taken specifically, or whether the drugs had been prescribed to Scarr.

Scarr’s fellow rappers NLE Choppa and BigWalkDog attended his funeral, but Gucci Mane never showed.

“You knew not to show up at that funeral,” Quezz added during his Instagram Live. “Even if you would came, you were gonna get stomped at the door. Come on now, fool.”

Gucci Mane, who mourned Big Scarr’s death on social media at the time of his passing, has yet to respond to any of the allegations.
