Adele celebrated her 36th birthday on Sunday. I always forget that she’s a Cinco de Mayo baby. Adele has been pretty quiet lately, she’s still doing her Las Vegas residency and spending the rest of her time in LA, cohabitating with Rich Paul and raising her son Angelo. In 2022, she was exerting public pressure on Rich to propose to her, and I still believe that he told her to cool it with that and to stop telling people that they were engaged or planning to get married. Rich released a book last year, and during his promotion, he really did not want to talk about Adele or whether or not they were already married (Adele referred to him as her “husband”). Well, sources in Adele’s camp gave People Magazine an update on her birthday:
Happy Birthday, Adele! The musician turns 36 on Sunday, May 5, and she couldn’t be happier with her career, relationship with Rich Paul and life as a mom to her 11-year-old son Angelo, sources exclusively tell PEOPLE.
“Adele loves to perform and loves her audiences,” a music insider says of her recent Las Vegas performances. “She is happy with her residency.”
The insider also says that in terms of how things are going with Paul — a 42-year-old sports agent to clients like LeBron James — their “relationship is solid.”
“They help each other and are good partners,” the source says, adding that Adele “loves being with him.”
Another source echoes this, telling PEOPLE, “Adele has been happy and enjoys her life as a parent and her time spent with Rich.”
Giving insight into the couple — who took their relationship public in July 2021 — the insider says that the singer and sports agent “like to laugh.”
“They inspire each other,” the source adds.
Ahead of her 36th birthday, the “Rolling in the Deep” hitmaker announced new dates for her Weekends with Adele residency in Las Vegas. The move comes after she previously postponed several of her shows in late February.
Rich and Adele have been out together recently so there’s every indication that they’re still together and still living together too. Adele is such a secret squirrel, she and Rich might have gotten married and simply not announced it. But I didn’t get that impression from his interviews last year. Given that Adele has said over and over again that she wants to get married again and have another kid, I do wonder if she’s sort of wasting her time with Rich, because he absolutely gives off the impression that he doesn’t want the same things? I don’t know though, as I said, Adele can go so undercover, maybe this isn’t as it looks from the outside.
